We have been making the best tasting jerky for the public for over 10 years now. "That's the best jerky I've ever tasted" has been said more times than we could count. The Ponderosa Cattle Co. is located in the heart of cattle and oil country, West Texas. We make our jerky the way they made it over 200 years ago, with no chemicals or preservatives, just natural flavors and spices. Even our Jalapeno flavors are made with fresh peppers, not extracts. You can even see the seeds on the jerky, but be ready to feel the warmth. Our Jalapeno Nuclear has fresh habanero peppers blended with the jalapeno peppers to make a truly spicy taste. It's not hot when you take the first bite, but wait for the second and third!

 

Because we use the old fashioned process of removing almost all the water from our beef, you actually get 4 times the amount of beef you are ordering. One ounce starts out as four ounces, and one pound begins the process as four pounds of meat. Most of the "wet" jerkys you buy are, at best, 1 ½ pounds of preprocessed meat to 1 pound of finished product. We don't believe you should be paying for water when you want jerky.
